Being snowed in makes me want to get organized! I'm actually going to go clean my closet and storage after this post. I was inspired by this instagram which then led me to Emily Henderson's post featuring the winter Threshold line. SO impressed with Target
My sister moved to New Zealand straight after college. She's much more adventurous than I am! Because of her travels, I always pay attention to articles/images I come across featuring New Zealand. I discovered the Alan Pye Cottage via Instagram and loved learning that it sits on the banks of the Waikato River where waters surge downstream on their way to the Huka Falls. I fell in love with the architecture- especially the exterior elements! Take the full tour of the property here and if you're feeling adventurous book your next trip! I decided to design a look to shop featuring some of the interiors I would feature in this cottage space.
It seems to be evading me as of late so perhaps designing this little mood board will help?
Here's hoping!

Sometimes after a long day I find it more relaxing to sit and design a space than to actually go enjoy one. I've created two little areas I'd love to relax and read or knit in. Now that I've created these, I guess I'll actually go enjoy one of those activities before dinner.
Have you seen the reveal of Michelle Adams' Anne Arbor colonial? Formerly of Domino & Lonny magazines Adams has been on my radar for quite some time. I still wish I could get my hands on her Rubie Green vintage floral fabric (shown here)! The feature is set to run in February's issue but the before and after transformation is live here.
A quick post I threw together on the train as I head back home to start a new year! The holiday season was wonderful but spent mostly outside of my own home. I'm excited to get back into my routine and continue to make time for blogging. Above would be my perfect little dining area.
