After this devastating loss I ran right over to the nearest Sunglass Hut to purchase another pair of "Classic Wayfarers." I just love the classics! They're such a throw back to the days of glamor with James Dean and, but of course, the iconic Audrey Hepburn. That said, there was one thing I just wasn't feeling about the Classic Wayfarer style, they were so angled toward the face when you wore them. So, in an attempt to fix that qualm I picked up a pair of the, oh so over bought and worn, "Modern Wayfarers". For some reason these babies just look sad on my face...I'm NOT kidding guys, they actually make me look sad, depressed...etc. If a pair of sunglasses can evoke a feeling... on me, these evoke "I'm a seriously sad person!"
Showing my distress, the nice Sunglass Hut lady came over to help me. I told her my issues and she suggests these puppies.
First, she hooks me by showing me that they are actually the "Classic Wayfarer", but they don't angle toward your face (they sit 90 degrees to it like normal sunglasses...OH JOY!). Then she completely gets me when she demonstrates that these little sunglasses have their very own party trick. That's right...they fold up into an itty bitty case. Aw yeah people, aw yeah.
Now wait, you might be asking yourself..."So, they fold up small, who the heck cares...what does this mean for me?" Good questions kids. Here is what it means: Nights out on the town with just the sunset left, little tinny sunglasses in your clutch. How about boating with friends and you don't want to be "that girl" who has a big bag of stuff...oh wait, you just have your little tiny sunglasses that fold up into your pocket. Or, maybe you're a mama, and you have a ton to carry all the time...well, there is always room for little tinny sunglasses in that dipper bag isn't there?
Well there you have it folks. I'm sold, fit and function. I hope you are too!
**Disclaimer: Men might steel these from you, purely because they fit in that little tiny chest pocket on their shirts that they have never used before. Oh, and because they are cool!**
