Perfection.

I love a blue and white color scheme in a bedroom. I'm especially drawn to this space. The silhouette of the headboard it perfect. I need to have height and interesting lines on a headboard (rectangles need not apply). The real show stopper in the room is the rug. I "need" it!

Mission Organization

I love these storage ideas for your powder room. Having an organized, streamlined routine in the mornings is the only way to start the day. The makeup organizer on the left is actually from IKEA and is only 17.99!

TOMS Eyeware: The Next One for One Movement

Posted on: Wednesday, August 24, 2011

TOMS is at it again with their new line of eyeware. With every pair you purchase, you help give sight to a person in need; whether it's giving medicial treatment, restoring sight with surgery, or providing a pair of glasses. What an incredible cause! I'd love to pick up the Women's Classic 101, to go with my red TOMS shoes!

Simplicity

I'm currently drawn to the simplicity of black and white stripes. I love when its allowed to be the bold centerpiece of a room, or even an outfit.

A perfect combination for early fall.

Posted on: Monday, August 15, 2011

My best friend "K" and her fiance "S" were married last month at the beach!

The consummate hostess, "K" had the perfect bridesmaid gifts for us. A monogrammed tote in her wedding colors stocked with not only beach essentials, but also a plush monogrammed robe to wear as we got ready for the ceremony! Left, the maid of honor decorated flip flops for us to wear after what proved to be hours of dancing the night away!
The ladies, ready to head to the ceremony!

Guests were transported by trolley to the beachfront nuptials.
After the ceremony, the wedding party took a few photos together before heading back to the reception.

Guests were welcomed by the new Mr. & Mrs. from the balcony. The bouquet toss occurred during cocktail hour and was picture-perfect!
Touches of the wedding colors could be found throughout the event. Lime green and navy were perfect for the seaside setting. And how sick are the groomsmen's kicks!?
Seating for dinner was displayed for guests on the windowpane's of large antique windows. So creative!

Guests danced the night away while Burnt Sienna provided incredible music! During an extremely exciting moment the band welcomed "S" (top left) and his brother (an accomplished musician in his own right) to join them for a song! Needless to say the day was a success!
All my love to the new Mr. & Mrs.

Lust vs Must

It's a battle of the brands on this one!

Do any of you have either the Clarisonic or Olay Pro-x Cleansing systems?
I've read quite a few reviews on the two. Both have speed control, and removable brush heads. The Clarisonic head oscillates while the Olay brush spins in a circular motion. The Clarisonic is waterproof and charges on a dock while the Pro-x is water resistant and runs on 2 AA batteries. The Clarisonic is a bit larger, however fans of the Pro-x are quick to point out that the only active oscillating bristles are the inner ones (the black row inwards) while the outer bristles serve mainly as a splash guard.

In the end, would you splurge on the Clarisonic or save with the Pro-x?

A huge thank you to SH who just returned from Morocco and gave me these GORGEOUS slippers.

I can't wait to wear them!

A few fun facts I learned from SH:

The national bird of Morrocco is the fly.

Morrocco has more cats than humans.

Every Mercedes ever built in the 70's or 80's currently resides in Morocco.
