Do you know about the shop Layla Grace?  I love their selection of rugs and bedding. I actually just purchased the khaki and white striped rug for my little dining room. I'm eyeing all of those John Robshaw pillows for my bedroom, and I've always liked the light blue striped rug above.

I continue to be drawn to bold patterned fabric, wallpaper, and rugs! This could get me into some trouble- it's so tricky to weave it all together. Since moving I've noticed a serious blue and white infatuation. I may try to break from that mold in my bedroom and am eying this quilt... again with the pattern though!

This last image is actually designed by Lindsay Souza of the blog The Pursuit of Style. It's so hard to find original sources on images I just found out through Lindsay commenting on the post. Definitely head over and check out her blog, It's one of my routine reads.

On a whim, I ran and picked up this bar cart. Have you seen it before? It's from Target! I've been back and forth on whether or not I want a bar cart. Knowing that I'm definitely not dropping a grand or committed enough to splurge in the $500 range I was excited to find an affordable version at $129.99 The clean lines,  wheels, and copper finish were the selling points. I got it home, added some fresh flowers and have the beginnings of my very own little bar cart. I'm pretty excited with the result and am looking forward to styling it further.
Do you have a bar cart?

Have you seen these photographs of Gen Sohr taken by Leslee Mitchell for Matchbook's September issue? This gal is the Real McCoy! I couldn't be more impressed by her dynamic style.  A closet full of vintage frocks is photographed against the backdrop of her awe-inspiring home.  I could just crawl into this photo shoot and live happily ever after. Print, texture, color, and personal flare come together to create what appears to me to be an onslaught of truly authentic STYLE!

Madewell Mannequin

image via my instagram

Such amazing finds at Madewell this weekend, I had to share.
Normally, I would never wear one brand head to toe but I kind of died when I put together this look. Each piece is completely versatile on its own but I actually really love it as an outfit!

The PARIS tee
It has a vintage feel and is cut really big. I purchased the XS and it still looks a little big and sloppy on me which is just what I wanted.
The coated motorcycle jeans oh.my.gosh.
Full disclosure I was never a fan of Madewell denim. It looked terrible on me. Knowing that they had revamped the entire line I gave it another shot- so happy I did! These are hands-down my favorite pants right now. They fit like a glove and  have great details. Coated denim, zips at the pockets and ankles, plus machine washable. I'm going to live in these things. My friend "O" and I have totally different body types and we both purchased them.
Leather and suede create visual and textural interest. The heel is short so they are comfortable and ready for a full day of walking. Also, the boot itself is cut super low which I love! They look great with skinny jeans and I'd easily throw them on with a skirt or dress.
I would reccommend each of these items without hesitation.  Don't you just love it when you have a successful shopping trip?

Question:

Why do I love bananas and fashion in photographs? Is it a subconscious Rachel Zoe thing? Is Gwen Stefani to blame?  #issues

You dig?
Love that you can swap out the heels with booties (love these) or flats (like this pair) for day.

Would you ever dare to wear the crop-top? It's everywhere and I love it, but I just don't think I could do it! Perhaps after a few pilates classes ;)

J. Falkner Stationary and Cards

Posted on: Monday, September 2, 2013

I just recently discovered J. Falkner cards at a local boutique and am completely smitten.
I love indulging in nice cards and these are pretty phenomenal. Above are a few of my favorites but you'll have to go check out the entire collection.  How amazing is the green zebra Rudolph for the holidays?! Also, is it weird that I was all set to send the maze card to my best girlfriends until I realized it was an anniversary card? Awkward.

Happy Monday!
