The Lovely Leigh Viner

I am so excited to have worked with Leigh Viner on my new blog header. Not only is she phenomenally talented, but she's also amazing to work with! I completely fell in love with her Draw the Line art print and was thrilled when she allowed me to use her original image in my new header. I also ordered the print in 8x12 for my home.

The Bedside Carafe

I love the idea of a bedside carafe.

Above, I found a few options at varying price points. I don't have an official guest room, however, I plan to be the consummate hostess once I do. A bedside carafe is the perfect touch! I always drink water before I turn in for the evening and would love to find a cute little carafe if I were staying in a friends home.

Would you ever actually use a bedside carafe, or do you think its simply a nice touch in terms of design aesthetic?

Neon: Love it or Leave it?

Neon is absolutely huge this season. These bold colors are found everywhere from nail polish to silk dresses. So tell me, do you love it or are you having horrible 80's flashbacks?

I would absolutely rock a neon purse but you won't catch me spending thousands on a trend. I was thrilled when I stumbled across the lime green JJ Winters chain strap purse over on The Pursuit of Style. It encompasses the high fashion look without breaking the bank. It retails for $85.00 and has just soared to the top of my lust list!

As I was writing this post I started to really think about whether I could pull off a neon color? I did a little research and found one-stop shopping at ZARA. All of the looks below can be found there... I feel a shopping spree coming on ;)

Officially Relaxed

I'm back from vacation and it could not have been better! I completely unplugged and read FOUR books. I woke up to my absolute favorite meal (cereal and fruit) each day. Then indulged in long walks on the beach, a little shopping and tons of relaxation.

Spring Break

It's finally here.

Luckily, I'm hopping a plane for some warmer weather. Thank goodness! I've had quite the week. Freezing temperatures, a million things to do, and an unexpected trip to get stitches after I literally ran into a cabinet at work. My poor little head needs a break! Hopefully, I'll feel much better soon and will be able to go for long runs on the beach.

I have a few posts lined up for while I'm away. Otherwise, I plan to "unplug" and relish some quiet time to read and relax. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all when I return.

Darling Duvets

I was talking with some girlfriends over the weekend about duvets and it got me thinking about a few of my current favorites. My go-to is a plain white duvet with big euro shams and accent pillows that add punches of color and graphic design. However, there are some great patterned duvets out there too. I love John Robshaw's selections (4) and am also a big fan of Dwell Studio's peacock duvet set (3) which comes in yellow and white.

In my opinion, duvets set the tone of a room. What do you look for in a duvet?
