So excited!
The truck pulls up today bright and early!
Off for a new adventure, and so excited to decorate a new space!

These little trays by Jill Rosenwald (love the pattern and gold rim detail designed by Erin Gates- it looks exactly like this rug). I've posted on Jill's work before  here.
Mint julep cup vases from WOM perfect for storing pencils, straws, or fresh blooms
Marble slabs for your kitchen counter top- I just purchased the largest one for my new kitchen. It's a substantial size, quite heavy, and I selected one with the veining just the way I like it. Only $49.95!
This notepad adds a little playful appeal to your list of to-do's. I'm always writing down and crossing off my tasks for the day
I stumbled on these Virginia Johnson Watercolor prints on OKL click here if you need an invite. I love the playful summer vibe captured and illustrated perfectly using the medium of watercolor painting.

Must-Have Summer Accessory: The Pool Swan

Posted on: Tuesday, July 23, 2013

This little guy has been popping up everywhere and I really wish I had one! Glitter Guide featured it here and the lovely Mandy, of Waiting On Martha, can be seen relaxing on the lake with her swan in this post.

Doesn't it just scream F-U-N? A quirky yet chic accessory that taps into your inner child. What's not to love? Purchase you're own swan here.

Currently Coveting Color

Posted on: Wednesday, July 17, 2013

/ side tie stripe dress with cutouts / clutch / doubleface jaquard diagonal flare dress /

I'm still loving colorful pieces for my closet. Above I've chosen a palette with soft hues and interesting silhouettes, fabrics and patterns. What's your favorite piece above?
Some people don't care for kitten heels but I love them! So comfy and the rick rack detail on the above pair is phenomenal! The only item I would alter is the side tie stripe dress. I think the hemline would have to come up for me to pull it off. Oh, and then there's the price of the flare dress, I'd alter that too!

Bobbi Brown For The Save!

Posted on: Tuesday, July 16, 2013

#BobbiOrBust

I was in desperate need of a reality check and am so excited about my new makeup regime.  Chapstick and mascara are just not cutting it anymore and I seriously needed to step up my game. My mother made me aware of this in a way that only a mother can.  So I bit the bullet, put on my big girl pants, and committed to a routine.  I've never been great with makeup.  I spent most of my college days with my hair up in a ponytail with a ribbon in it (cringe) having just come from lacrosse practice. I've done OK on my own piecing different products from various lines together over the years. But I've found that  I'm a little allergic to YSL so the famed Touche Eclat actually made my eyes water and sting!  I've always had good luck with Bobbi Brown (sans my proclivity for dropping the shimmer brick and breaking it EVERY SINGLE TIME)  so as my mother picked up all her products this afternoon I got my own as well.  I love everything and am particularly excited about my under eye products, bb cream, and lip balm (aka fancy Chapstick).  I'll keep you updated as to how it all works out. I have a feeling I may be turning over a new leaf here. Do you have a makeup routine? Any favorite products you can't live without? Would love to hear.

Shop my picks listed by row:
Right Row
/ blush- nectar 11 / metallic eye shadow- champagne quartz 2 /
/ creamy concealer kit for under eye in warm ivory / extreme party mascara (Oh hey, I like to party) /
Middle Row
/ lip balm- a cute light pink that leaves a beautiful sheen / corrector for under eye in light bisque /
Left Row
/ bb cream- fair with SPF 35 / bronzing powder- golden light 1/

Sarah Sherman Samuel's Newest Endeavour: A Sunny Afternoon Co.

Posted on: Wednesday, July 10, 2013

Have you all had a chance to check out Sarah Sherman Samuel's new product line? Remember when I  posted here about her cabin renovation? The line has a similar design aesthetic featuring handmade picnic-wear created by Sarah, her father, Lee, and local artisans.
A Sunny Afternoon offers everything you need to enjoy the outdoors in style.
My new home is a few miles from the beach so this line is super attractive to me. I'm particularly drawn to the picnic basket, small walnut serving board (love the shape and handle!), and these mint napkins. Check out the entire line and let me know what your favorite piece is! You can also find Sarah over on the blog she pens, Smitten Studio.

Home Decor

Posted on: Monday, July 8, 2013

As of late, home decor is on my mind 24/7
Why? Because I've accepted an exciting new job, am packing up, and MOVING!
I'm so excited for a new chapter in my life and naturally, to decorate a new space.

A little breakfast nook is an area I need to think about as well as extra seating.
Here are my current obsessions of the moment. Of course I want pairs of everything.

The spindle chair is at the very tip top of my wish list! I've been thinking I need to do something to mark this exciting change and celebrate it.  I rarely treat myself and want to have something that will serve as a symbol of this new endeavor. Do you reward yourself?
The chair is from Waiting On Martha which is an online boutique that just celebrated their first birthday yesterday! It can be fully customized from wood tone, to fabric, even the piping on the cushions. If you haven't had a chance to check out the site, you must go now- seriously!

I've started with a few "latergrams".  If you'd like to follow along head on over and find me here. Given the sampling above you're likely to encounter copious amounts of pictures of my own feet as well as various inanimate objects ;)
