I had such a lovely weekend with friends in the Hamptons. We were there for the half marathon but made a point to pack in plenty of fun activities that included delicious food, shopping, and time on the beach.
We stayed in and adorable rental! You can shop the look below:

Many of the restaurants were closed for the season but we still had some phenomenal food at Lunch (get a lobster roll), Babette's (I ordered the Jo Mama), and Meeting House (the cheesecake- gah!).

Our last stop before leaving town was the Serena & Lily Beach Market. It was STUNNING! If you're in the area it is absolutely worth a visit. The styling of the shop is flawless and the women working there could not have been more friendly. Not just friendly, but really genuine- which was such a treat. I'll be posting more sneak peeks into the store on my instagram
My current faves below:

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Color Pop!

Posted on: Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Adding a pop of color to your autumn ensembles is easy with these statement bags. A great bag elevates the simplest of outfits. I'm often drawn to color which is offered in spades this season. I can barely choose a favorite but a front runner is definitely the above Gucci Soho Bag. I also really like the new Fleming bag (top left) from Tory Burch.
Below I've put together a round of choices that hit various price points:

Cookbooks

As I continue to hone my skills in the kitchen I've recently been drawn to cookbooks. I hate to say it but I DO judge a book by it's cover. I love the idea of beautiful cookbooks stacked up in my kitchen. I have been eying the first one, Vefa's Kitchen for almost a year now- it's stunning, and currently on major sale here. The others are ones I'm interested in collecting too. Do you have any favorites I should look into? I'm also planning on stepping up my game when if comes to storing leftovers and these enamel storage bowls are right in my wheelhouse.

Each book is currently on sale ;)

Get The Look: Osbourne and Little Coronata Star

Posted on: Wednesday, September 17, 2014

The Osbourne and Little Coronata Star wallpaper keeps popping up all over the place and I love it. It's perfect for a ceiling but I also like the idea of of using it on the walls paired with wainscoting.

At first glance I thought it was the Sister Parish Serendipity print (also a favorite). Then digging a bit deeper I've found not only the original source but also that many people are forgoing the pricey paper and finding great success recreating the look using decals! It certainly seems like one would need to arm themselves with a great deal of patience as they map out the grid, but then it's clear sailing as you simply peel and stick the stars. You can purchase Coronata star decals via Walls Need Love and Urban Walls.
What do you think? Would you stick to the real deal or attempt this DIY?

Have you seen the new arrivals at Society Social? Just call me a smitten kitten. I've been toying with the idea of trying to DIY my own hand painted brushstroke lamp but lately have thought better of it. I would love to add the navy one to my nightstand. I also really like this blue padoga trellis lamp.
Then the skirted tables- oh my! Offered in both rectangular and round options there are TWENTY colors to choose from and a reasonable price point. I'm really excited by the prospect of a rectangular one I'm just hoping that it isn't continuously wrinkled or I'll be using this little diddy all the time.

Is there anything better than a summer picnic? My friend Jamieson and I took advantage of the weather this weekend and enjoyed a perfect little outdoor picnic. Jamieson pens the blog "The Nanny Recipes" and is a chef. Naturally, I leave the food choices up to her and she lets me style the table. If you enjoy cooking you must head over to her blog for some inspiration. I can barely cook but have had some success recreating a few of her dishes!
