J. Crew Factory has some great finds at the moment and you can get an extra 30% off with the code: SALE30. I picked up the camel sweater that I missed first time around on J.Crew, and a new set of pajamas for my upcoming girls weekend in the Hampton's. Shop all my picks below:

Have you seen the new arrivals at Society Social? Just call me a smitten kitten. I've been toying with the idea of trying to DIY my own hand painted brushstroke lamp but lately have thought better of it. I would love to add the navy one to my nightstand. I also really like this blue padoga trellis lamp.
Then the skirted tables- oh my! Offered in both rectangular and round options there are TWENTY colors to choose from and a reasonable price point. I'm really excited by the prospect of a rectangular one I'm just hoping that it isn't continuously wrinkled or I'll be using this little diddy all the time.

A Sign of Summer: Turquoise

Posted on: Monday, May 5, 2014

Nothing says summer to me like turquoise jewelry and the bigger the better.  It's the perfect accessory for a simple jeans and tee look. I'd also stack lots-o-rings and bracelets with a summer dress like this one.

Being trapped inside all day with the rain is making me excited for a weekend full of outdoor entertaining. Above, a little board of some fun pieces to add to an outdoor cocktail hour or dinner party.
I "need" the mason jars and think I want the mint color but am torn by the option for a crisp white set.
The hurricane glass lanterns are on sale and the perfect evening element for an outdoor space.
Lastly, I love the tablecloth and that bar console is legit.

Lust worthy.
I especially love the beach blanket (so happy to be living right next to the beach) and the cute oven mitts. I'm really trying to get excited about cooking...the mitts could help, right? I think I may have to make the blue footed bowl my next decor purchase. The design feels very sister parish and I just love the shape.

Happy Friday loves!

One of each please!

1. I found this flamingo wallpaper and immediately wanted to purchase it for my bathroom. It would also be lovely in a foyer, or even a nursery.
2. I love the shape of this mirror and finally found it at a reasonable price. It reminds me of the one over the mantle of Ali Cayne's living room (featured in Domino).
3. Sale alert! These gems are on major sale- at only $16 they can elevate any outfit.
4. This campaign style tray table is the perfect color! I'd use it as a little bar cart.
5. I have always loved this photograph of Mrs. Patricia McCormick of Los Angeles, CA captured by Philip Gendreau of the Olympic High Dive. I'm really close to pulling the trigger on this one.

Hope everyone is having a great week! I've been listening to Coconut Records ad nauseum- particularly "any fun" and "west coast".

Spring Picks

Posted on: Monday, April 14, 2014

Spring is finally here and I couldn't be happier. I've put together a few essentials above. I just purchased the sleeveless embroidery pleated chiffon dress (shown top center). It's fully lined and on sale for $33.52- such a steal! I also want to purchase a few turkish towels for the beach.

Oh dear, what do we have here.

It sounds silly but I've been thinking a lot about linen cocktail napkins for my bar cart. I think there's something so special and elegant about them but in talking to people I've received mixed reactions. Some think they are the perfect touch while others find them to be stuffy; noting the potential to make guests uncomfortable (cue mental image of a bloody marry spill). I just game across the above sets at Waiting On Martha and think they are such a fun quirky take on a formal cocktail napkin. The "formality" of the linen and hemstitching is undercut by the cheeky phrases and playful images.
What are you thoughts? Which humorous set would you purchase?
Personally I love them and think that the juxtaposition is brilliant.

SALE: Forty Percent Off

Posted on: Friday, March 28, 2014

Can we just discuss the ridiculous sale going on now over at C.Wonder? Forty percent off of everything! Above I displayed my picks for the home and tabletop but you can also shop jewelry, clothing, and accessories. I'm seriously considering a set of four framed Chinoiserie prints (shown above) for a bare wall in my living room.
Head on over now and snag something great! Would love to know what you scoop up!

Color Crush

Posted on: Wednesday, March 26, 2014

I'm drawn to color and wanted to put together an inspiration board that highlights a few pieces I'm currently coveting. I love how many of the above items feature a watercolor, ombre, or tie dye effect.
I just purchased the dip dye napkins on the top left from a store in Maine and was excited to find them online in other colors. I went with a dark blue to pair with my plates.
I "need" the haze shot glasses in pink for my bar cart, and wish I had a spot for the lamp and bucket chair.

Anything you're loving lately in design? Would love to know.

Factory Finds

Posted on: Tuesday, March 25, 2014

I'm patiently waiting for spring to hit New England. J.Crew Factory has some great little looks for warm weather and I've just added a few things to my closet (like this worn out here with O.Style). Factory is not a J.Crew outlet but rather an entirely separate manufacturing process set at a much lower price point. Below, I've put together a few striped tops and shorts that I would pair together as well as a fun tote and set of pajamas for summer.
Hope you're all having a great week!

Hues of Blue

Posted on: Monday, March 17, 2014

Ask me my favorite color and I will tell you hands down that it's pink. Nevertheless, I'm usually drawn to shades of blue in design, accessories, and clothing. Here's a round up of my current loves:

I just purchased the above pillowtop bench for the foot of my bed. The silhouette is perfect and the white piping is my favorite part. You can find it here but I snooped around and found it on sale for an even lower price here.
I also have to mention the Oscar de la Renta dinner plates. My heart is set on these Italian splatter plates but they are not made in dinner size- UGH! They offer a charger and salad plate size so I actually contacted the store that carries them and am having them ask the designer in Italy if they will make a dinner plate. Is that a little psycho kitty? Perhaps, but once I have my mind set on something I don't give up too easily. I've chosen the Oscar plates as a possible back-up.

This could be my fall uniform.. perfect.
Love all of the pops of color Emily Henderson used when styling the makeover of Oh Joy's studio (see full post here). Also, I keep seeing that little giraffe print popping up in various images (like this one). Too cute.
Patiently waiting for cozy sweater weather so I can bundle up. Currently coveting this little diddy.
I've set a little goal to add to my coffee table book collection. I'm thinking I will buy one new book each month. Here are a few that I "need".

Madewell Mannequin

Posted on: Monday, September 16, 2013

image via my instagram

Such amazing finds at Madewell this weekend, I had to share.
Normally, I would never wear one brand head to toe but I kind of died when I put together this look. Each piece is completely versatile on its own but I actually really love it as an outfit!

The PARIS tee
It has a vintage feel and is cut really big. I purchased the XS and it still looks a little big and sloppy on me which is just what I wanted.
The coated motorcycle jeans oh.my.gosh.
Full disclosure I was never a fan of Madewell denim. It looked terrible on me. Knowing that they had revamped the entire line I gave it another shot- so happy I did! These are hands-down my favorite pants right now. They fit like a glove and  have great details. Coated denim, zips at the pockets and ankles, plus machine washable. I'm going to live in these things. My friend "O" and I have totally different body types and we both purchased them.
Leather and suede create visual and textural interest. The heel is short so they are comfortable and ready for a full day of walking. Also, the boot itself is cut super low which I love! They look great with skinny jeans and I'd easily throw them on with a skirt or dress.
I would reccommend each of these items without hesitation.  Don't you just love it when you have a successful shopping trip?

/ linen dining chair- I just can't. It's legs look like spears! /

When I first pinned this image of the June 1932 Vogue Cover from the Vogue cover Archives I had two thoughts: 1. I need this framed and in my gallery wall immediately 2. Is it summer yet?

For me summer means COLOR so I've put together a few "essentials" for your summer lust list:

1. This blue striped pouch is perfect for nights out after a fun day at the beach or to wrangle small essentials in a larger tote. The whimsical tassel detail is my favorite part aside from the price $36
2. Still loving a fedora for summer. Perfect for the beach, and serious sun protection.
3. A statement necklace elevates any ensemble. Jeans and a tee- suddenly next level. Simple solid maxi, instantly transformed with a bold necklace like this one. It looks like it costs hundreds but is only $32.  Yes you read that correctly!
4. Why not switch out your iPhone case for a lighter summer look? I'm coveting this pink ombre option.
5. Summer calls for cocktails and these napkins are such a nice touch for either a hostess gift of for yourself!
6. This striped straw beach bag is a must-have. The rope handles are my favorite part, and it comes in either red or blue.  When I first saw it I thought the only thing that could possibly make it better is a monogram... well guess what? BOOM. You can have it monogrammed and it's only $27.
7. I've got to give it to JR for keeping up with the trends on this one. I love the neon detail on the iconic flops- I certainly have my fair share of JR's but adding these is a must.
8. Couldn't leave you without the perfect summer weight striped scarf- the pink detail sets it apart.

I hope all of the mommies out there enjoyed a special weekend with their families!  Today's post is a little roundup of a few things I'm loving lately.
1. I'll take two of those perfect little x benches please!
2. This chandelier would be lovely in any space but I really like the idea of it in a nursery or play room.
3. Travel necessities! I'm starting to think about my summer excursions, and if you know me, then you know sleep masks are an absolute must (this is my all time favorite one).
4.  These heels are such a fun statement piece and they actually have a reasonable price point.
5. This boho top would pair perfectly with these jeans. Could be my summer uniform.
6.  Still working on my coffee table collection and this book is high on the list of new purchases.
