New Years Tablescape Inspiration

Posted on: Wednesday, December 29, 2010

If I were entertaining this year I would love to create a table based off of the above inspiration board. Playful cocktail napkins that tie in with the festive table decor would be perfect for cocktails served before dinner. At the table, the kate spade plates just scream New Years to me! A traditional centerpiece paired with pops of pink, gold accents, and whimsical salt and pepper shakers complete the look. Of course, no new years dinner party is complete without noise makers! I love the fun colors and designs pictured on the ones above.

What are your New Years plans?

Absolutely mad for these cards in the GADABOUT paper line. I am constantly writing thank you notes and love using cards that have some style. I've shown a few of my favorite cards here, but go check out the entire line! Prices range from $45-$48 for a box set of 25 cards with white envelopes.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas Eve!
I've just started wrapping gifts for my family and am loving the paper I chose from Crate&Barrel.
Beautiful tones of gold and silver accented with a blue ribbon! I've only wrapped a few so it's back to work for me!

Holiday Soiree

Posted on: Thursday, December 23, 2010

I kicked off the holiday season this year by attending Tartans&Tidings festive holiday soiree.
100% of the proceeds from the Tartans & Tidings silent auction plus a portion of proceeds from ticket sales supported Baltimore SquashWise. This nonprofit organization provides middle school students from Baltimore City with a safe and structured place to exercise their bodies and minds during after-school hours by combining squash instruction, academic tutoring, mentoring and community service.
A great cause to get behind, featuring one of the best live bands, Burnt Sienna, 4 hours open bar + signature cocktails; passed hors d'oeuvres + delectable desserts...sold!
Burnt Sienna provided AMAZING music for guests to dance the night away to.
Clearly, I'm really shy...

More fun on the dance floor!

Thanks to my ladies for supporting the event!

A successful silent auction raised money for Squashwise.

"It's My Party..."

Posted on: Tuesday, December 21, 2010

I love my girls and have to say a HUGE thank you for making my birthday so special! They obviously know me very well because it went without question that the night would be a dressy occasion! I wore a fun flirty party dress but toughened it up with a few accessories. I chose chunky booties and a military jacket to offset the tiered party dress. Over the top accessories gifted by "K" and "S" added some MAJOR sparkle and a senes of occassion!
My absolute favorite part of the dress is the back! So fun.
Thank you, thank you to all my girls for an unforgetable celebration!

Tonight I get to celebrate with the fam!

It's going to snow here today! Wishing I had the above boots but I guess my baby bunters will suffice! I blogged earlier on the Made With Love bracelets, and think they would be an awesome stocking stuffer.
Happy Holidays!

Dress Your Holiday Spirits!

Posted on: Tuesday, December 14, 2010

I posted on this last year and am throwing it out there again because I love the idea of of personalizing your gifts. Just head to Michaels and hit the scrapbooking section. You can find tons of different paper to cover up the labels. Each piece is around a dollar. Last year I didn't really want to do the traditional red and green look so I went with an orange color palette. Then I purchased a roll of lime green ribbon, and double sided tape. I cut the paper so that it would cover the existing wine label. Then I mounted a little square piece of white paper with my holiday greeting. You can write whatever you want on the label. I was thinking that it would be fun to write nicknames, or funny quotes and comments. Perhaps another time. I really enjoyed this project and recommend you try it out!

Wham!

Seriously hoping Santa brings me the Nike Free running shoes. It's like running barefoot, they are so light! Snakeskin tray...check. Oh hello Roberta Roller Rabbit stocking! I'll take two. Also obsessed with her ornaments! The Jan Showers book has a leopard hard cover underneath the paper cover.
Happy Friday!

Holiday Spirit!

Posted on: Monday, December 6, 2010

This past weekend I went with K and S to pick out a Christmas tree!
The fam...I'm extremely excited!
I found the cutest little tree, just my size.
They found a winner!
Muscles McGee above.
Note: This was my first time ever picking out a tree. I'm actually allergic and grew up having fake trees. So I was just helping and didn't actually get one of my own.

This fantastic barn was on the property. So we had a little impromptu photo shoot!
Are they not the cutest engaged couple ever?
Excited to go trim the tree!
We ended the festivities by heading to a Tacky Christmas Party. I'm officially in the holiday spirit!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Lots of little loves listed above!
The slippers are so cute, and I'm currently obsessed with gray nail polish. I adore my needlepoint coasters and think the above set from Smathers & Branson is killer. The Rebecca Minkoff clutch is so versatile. I have it in blue and gave it to my little sister in black crocodile last holiday season.
If you know me, you know about my love for sleep masks...enough said. Also wanting to give the little kate spade taxi mittens to all my city girls.
Have an awesome weekend loves!
xoxo

Simplicity

Posted on: Wednesday, December 1, 2010

It's a hectic time of year. A to-do list that just won't quit and not enough time in the day leaves me yearning for a bit of simplicity.
