DIY Ruffle Collar Shirt

Posted on: Friday, April 30, 2010

I was really excited to try and make my very own ruffle collar. I started with a t-shirt just in case I totally blew it! But I really like the way it turned out and the entire project was super cheap! White t-shirt, $4.00, and 1/4 yard of fabric for $1.00.
First I cut 3"x 3" squares
Then I trimmed the edges.
Next I gathered the fabric in a flower by pinching it at the bottom.
Then I sewed. Layering two squares together gives you a flower that is full.
Last step is to arrange the little ruffles on your shirt then sew them on by hand.
