A new line, L.L. Bean Signature, will launch in March 2010. You can see a preview of the collection here. Designer Alex Carleton, of clothing line Rogues Gallery, has been charged with the task of updating L.L. Beans look. The line aims to compete with the likes of J.Crew and is targeted to a younger demographic.
I'm excited to see the full line (about 200 pieces have been created)... are you?

The dress with the sailboat design is divine. And I may have to purchase the Bean Heritage Tote this very minute.
