Be My Valentine...

Posted on: Thursday, February 4, 2010

For Valentines Day I always want a card (handwritten) and a mix tape. Although I certainly wouldn't object to receiving the gold watch I'm lusting after...
Anyway, as much as people gripe about Valentines Day being a silly manufactured day, I still enjoy giving gifts. Here are a few ideas...

For your funny guy:

If he likes the website he will probably enjoy the news archives

Zach Galifianakis- Live at the Purple Onion DVD 2007
From before he became a huge hit. This DVD is hysterical!
$10.99

For your tree hugger:

Patagonia Men's Storm Light Jacket $199.00
Made just for your beau from recycled materials.

Reusable coffee mug. Dishwasher safe. $16.99

Apparently these shoes allow you to experience barefoot freedom during all of your outdoor activities. I actually saw a guy wearing them the other day just walking along the sidewalk. I was so confused.

For the golfer in your life:

"The Match" by Mark Frost

The story of a private match that took place in 1956 between amateur golfers Harvie Ward and Kevin Venture against Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson (the two had 14 major championships between them). Check out the synopsis.. I'm not doing it justice.

Sports writer John Feinstein tells the stories of the players who competed for the 2005 PGA Tour positions. Vying for only 30 available slots this tournament is said to make or break peoples careers. Haven't read it yet, but everyone I give the book to absolutely devours it!

Cute gag gift. "Best Shot of the Day" shot glass $12.95
Vintage Golf Club Bottle Opener... for the man cave perhaps?
$60.00-65.00
