Form+Function

This space is bliss.

Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it's also a functional space. I'm constantly displaying my clothing in my bedroom. I generally put out new pieces, or color combinations that I want to try. I hook hangers on the backs of my doors so that I can see my clothing
(does anyone else do this or am I alone on this one?).
I love how the clothing and shelving unit takes the place of a headboard in this bedroom. The actual clothing adds pops of color against the stark white canvas of the room (so calming). Visual interest is created by using different textures and fabrics. Hello sheepskin rug, and lace patterned blankets.
I don't think I could have anything but sweet dreams in this space.
xx
PS. Is it Friday yet?

  2. Hi Katey! Thanks so much for stopping by. The bedroom is from a gorgeous norwegian home featured here: http://decor8blog.com/2010/11/25/beautiful-norwegian-home/
I'm thinking Ikea may be a great starting point to try and re-create the look.
