Rug Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Lately I've been drawn to rugs with geometric patterns. The first rugs I purchased on my own were more traditional. I still love them but want try and work in something a little more daring. I took a small risk earlier when I added the zebra print rug in my kitchen. It was a steal at 19.99 from Target.

I'm thinking I may need to do something a little different in my bedroom

Right now it's pretty traditional. I hate the artwork so that can go, but I do like the bedding. I need reader input! Do you think I can work in a geometric rug? My favorite from the picks I made above is number three. Any suggestions for the room itself? It's a small space but I need to do something because it is just not as interesting as the other rooms I've worked on in my home.

I recovered these chairs

I painted the feature wall

I made the animal print and medallion pillows.
So now it's on to the bedroom...let me know what you think!
xoxo
(Note to self: You're clearly obsessed with blue... perhaps you should stop telling others that your favorite color is pink?)

ReplyDeleteSo happy I found your blog! Love it! You have such great taste!
ReplyDeleteI think you were more brave (than the zebra rug) doing that feature wall! Wow! Great job! My latest love interest is the chevron pattern, therefore, rug #1 stole my heart.
ReplyDeleteI like rug #3. It comes in a beautiful sage color! But truly you really can't go wrong with any of them!
ReplyDeleteumm..#6 is the same pattern as the curtains in my living room(but they are coral).. soo of course I love it! keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog! Love it! So funny, I"m eyeing rug #3 and #6 for my hallway!! Love all your choices.....I'm thinking maybe a darker color rug to ground the room? Looks like you have light walls and accents of pink so maybe a darker color would be a nice contrast??? I'm sure whatever you do, it'll be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower!!
Love what you've done. Where are the pillows on your bed from? (The printed pillows)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI found them at an antique shop but they have similar ones you can find at Fabricadabra, here: http://www.fabricadabra.us/occhikprorco.html
