A few summer looks I'm loving. I actually love panama hats (and shade) so I would wear the hat with any of these ensembles.
First Look: Perfect for cocktails
Second Look: For a casual beach wedding
Third Look: A lazy picnic with friends

Happy Summer

Summer Lovin'

Posted on: Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Summer is creeping towards us and in light of that fact I thought I'd throw out a few of my choices for soaking up the sun. Many women dread putting on a bathing suit. My philosophy: "if you can't tone it tan it"- and by that I mean forget any insecurities, get out there, and have some fun!
We are always are own worst critic.

PS- speaking of summer love I am coveting this little Rebecca Minkoff pouch.

Color Splash
As much as I'm trying to keep it simple lately, I'm just not capable. I'm still loving bright hues, floral prints, and stripes.
My favorite piece in this outfit is my new Bridier Baubles bracelet. It's a classic link piece that holds up nicely to the weight of my watch.
My skirt has the perfect hemline for work with a mirrored print that's anything but conservative.

{bracelet- c/o brider baubles check out their statement jewelry here, necklace- gorjana lovebird necklace, skirt- asos mirror floral print pencil skirt, striped tee- zara, watch- michael kors jet set
heels- franco sarto (similar here) sunnies-uo (also love these)}

Special thanks to KG for snapping pics!

Bright Hues+Open Backs

Posted on: Monday, May 14, 2012

Currently coveting theses "investment" pieces for summer.
For years now I've been drawn to garmets with open backs. I'm not one to wear low cut pieces.   Instead, I find highlighting a bare back to be daring and sexy, while remaining classy.
Above are two of my favorites.
1. Blue Beaded Dress with Cutout Back- Phillip Lim- purchase here
2. Tibi Featherweight Sandwashed Long Dress- purchase here

Where Do I Sign?

Posted on: Friday, May 11, 2012

Oh hello Hampton's home with your painted floors, open layout, and barn inspired aesthetic. I'll take your vaulted ceilings, wide plank walls, exposed beams, and and fearless color palette.  Yes, I know, blue and black match.

Well that's settled. What's that...you'll pay closing costs?
Deal.

A few things catching my eye...
Rodarte cutout- edgy construction in a timeless color palette
DIY gilded detailing on the door creates an eye catching detail
a statement bangle and a pop of color- my uniform
my childhood home had a trellace with roses

speaking of flowers... still wearing copious amounts of floral prints- can't stop, won't stop.

Madewell  never disappoints. I'm always able to find at least a handful of pieces that I love each time I visit.  Here are my current picks for spring:
1.Bright flirty unmentionables that are worth mentioning (find here and here)
2.  These blue flats provide both comfort and style. I love the pointed toe.  Without the height of a heel the toe still elongates the leg (find here)
3. Low rise floral skinny jeans? Yes please- a perfect summer staple (find here)
4. No daisy dukes for me- these relaxed fit jean shorts (jorts) fit the bill (find here)
5.  Shade is your friend! Love this style panama hat (find here)
6. Moderately priced sunnies with a classic silhouette and unexpected color scheme (find here)
7.  Still loving lots of spots so this dotted number is perfect for spring (find here)
8.  This racerback tank is the type of thing I wouldn't initially be thrilled to buy but I would constantly wear it during those sticky summer months (find here)

Happy Monday

Simplicity
